คลาสเช้า : Biotensegrity concepts illuminate Pilates mat
Biotensegrity refers to a significant concept applicable to Pilates. The word is created from three terms. Bio means living. Tension refers to forces moving through the living body. Integrity refers to the capacity for the body to have structural harmony in stillness and in motion. Pilates is whole body movement that intends to balance the forces of tension and compression. Too much compression can cause injury. Instability and lack of control result when forces that press outward are not balanced by compressive forces pressing inward. Learn unique exercise sequences on the mat that require interplay of tension and compression. Learn how your understanding of Biotensegrity will help you be a more effective teacher with athletes, clients with injuries and all those who seek to improve standing balance.
คลาสบ่าย : Wall workout to correct posture (mat)
The convenience of staying connected in the wireless world may take a toll not only on the upper back, shoulders, neck and head, but on our entire structure, disconnecting us from efficient breathing, clear sight and optimal movement. Using only a mat, a wall, and select props, restore upright posture and full lung breathing by practicing a movement program that alternates classical mat exercises with contemporary sequences. This material can be taught as a Pilates mat class or practiced as a home exercise program. Some of the movements are suitable for the office environment, the airport lounge or even the plane.

คลาสเช้า : Close kinetic chain with contemporary exercise (mat)
Conventional mat exercises may not address asymmetries in lateral translation, lateral flexion and rotation of the spine that can impede fluid movement. These mat sequences that require non-habitual movement responses are designed to illuminate kinesthetic blind spots and re-awaken the delight of discovering new motor skill. Each exercise in the sequence integrates breathing with local core control and the global sling systems while connecting the eyes and feet with the pelvis, spine, arms and hands.
These movement sequences use the wall to provide a stable platform for the soles of the feet, the palms of the hands, the forearms, the spine, the ischial tuberosities. Each exercise expresses one or more of the myofascial meridians in movement.
This contemporary mat sequence is designed to include thoracic rotation, strengthening opportunities for the lateral pelvic stabilizers, standing balance practice, shoulder girdle stabilization and ample practice for abdominal activation in neutral pelvis and spine.
คลาสบ่าย : Movement considerations during menopause (mat)
Pilates offers the benefit of whole-body movement that supports living well. During menopause as well as during the intervals preceding and following menopause, hormonal shifts affect every aspect of movement including temperature regulation and the concentration required for motor control. Changes in tissue integrity alters structural stability, mobility and strength. A Pilates movement program is one important component of a comprehensive approach to menopause that can comfortably develop the stability, concentration, strength and bone density imperative for living well during the rest of life.
During this workshop learn how menopause affects the neuromyofascial system. Learn how to design Pilates mat and apparatus programs that are safe, comfortable and effective.
